Preparing for Inspection

With OFSTED inspection increasingly focused on systems, standards and statistics it is imperative that schools are well-prepared. With notice periods of a two days and up to 40% of no-notice return monitoring visits there is not time to sort things out on the day.

Marianne Harris and John Viner have developed a highly efficient consultancy model that will help you to OFSTED-proof your school. Both consultants visit the school for between one and two days and will rigorously review your systems, confirm your teaching judgements, identify and prioritise actions that you need to take and help you to prepare an action plan. We can also help to write your SEF, train your staff in understanding the implications of RAISE and help to prepare your governors for the inspection.

Marianne is currently working abroad but another consultant will stand in for her.

For BOTH consultants, ONE day will cost £1000, TWO days £1800.

Return visits can be booked, chargeable at the same rates.

Preparation for Church School inspection (Section 48)
Church school inspections are increasingly robust and important. John Viner is an authority on faith schools and a highly experienced inspector for the Church of England, for whom he inspects for four dioceses. He will be happy to visit your school to help prepare you for a S48 inspection or to review your Toolkit (or whatever self-review document you use) electronically.
